CARRY Celebrates GivingTuesday, joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement on November 28, 2023
Atlanta, GA November 7, 2023 – This GivingTuesday, CARRY will inspire generosity by participating in GivingTuesday.
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on November 28, 2023, and throughout the year.
Our organization, CARRY, joined GivingTuesday because we believe in the power of collective giving and the spirit of generosity that this global movement embodies. GivingTuesday provides a unique platform to connect with a broad audience of donors, supporters, and volunteers who are passionate about making a positive impact in their communities and around the world.
Our GivingTuesday initiative aims to address the growing issue of hunger among youth in our local community. Through GivingTuesday, we hope to raise awareness about the issue of hunger and the ways in which the community can come together to make a difference.
By participating in GivingTuesday, we aim to leverage the collective goodwill and philanthropic spirit of this global movement to create a positive and lasting impact in the lives of those we serve. We are excited and look forward to the support and engagement of donors and volunteers who share our commitment to making a difference in our community.
"Together, we have the power to change lives, build stronger communities, and leave a positive legacy. So, let's embrace the opportunity to give back, because in doing so, we create a ripple effect of goodness that can transform the world."
GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 with a simple idea: to create a day encouraging people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
People demonstrate generosity in many ways on GivingTuesday. Whether helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving to causes we care about, every act of generosity counts. GivingTuesday has raised billions of dollars for critical causes worldwide and gets 21 billion impressions on social media from people and organizations speaking up for the causes that matter to them and encouraging others to get involved in their communities.
"GivingTuesday inspires people all around the world to embrace their power to drive progress around the causes they care about, not just on one day but throughout the year," said Asha Curran, GivingTuesday's CEO and co-founder. "With country and community leaders, millions of organizations, and countless givers of all kinds, GivingTuesday is creating a shared space where we can see the radical implications of a more generous world."
